I have absolutely no experience with this at all, and wondering if you could point me in the right direction? From my research I've concluded that I will likely experiment with black beans, red cabbage and red berries to obtain the red/blue hues I am after; I intend to use boil and soak methods for this. Do I then add a fixative, such as vinegar or salt? Following that, is the dye ready for binding with gum tragacanth to produce a thick ink? Can I mix it directly with the gum, or should use your method of blending the gum with water, and then adding the liquid natural dye? I am wondering if it will be too runny for screenprinting? I hope that makes a bit of sense, I am just learning from varied Internet sources. If you have the time, any info would be very much appreciated!! Thanks in advance!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09364846126584602871noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22064726.post-33580427059191568282013-12-04T15:38:35.263-08:002013-12-04T15:38:35.263-08:00Thank you for the instructions. I haven't got the "bloom," but other wise it looks good and pH seems high enough. I tried a woad "spectralite" vat last year that only gave me a weak blue that has mostly faded. As I've seen others say that they've had good colors from vats without the "bloom" first, I decided to do my first dip today. My vat contains woad, soda ash, madder root, and wheat bran.Wayne I.https://www.blogger.com/profile/10489838492926884676noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22064726.post-30072809836310064132013-08-31T05:24:24.692-07:002013-08-31T05:24:24.692-07:00thanks so much for setting this up for usthanks so much for setting this up for uskathyinozarkshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01644138355524729156noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22064726.post-14613116279270055052013-08-29T10:30:52.237-07:002013-08-29T10:30:52.237-07:00Yes, my eBooks do work with an iPad, thank you for...Yes, my eBooks do work with an iPad, thank you for asking!k baxter packwoodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11894633518508627271noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22064726.post-23304992007348944412013-08-29T09:39:09.228-07:002013-08-29T09:39:09.228-07:00Gisela, yes that would count!
